Preparedness Fact Sheets Available for Download

6/19/2009
The Illinois Public Health Association, in partnership with the American Public Health Association's Get Ready Campaign, is pleased to provide our members with useful factsheets to prepare themselves and their communities in the event of an emergency.

• Emerging Infectious Diseases

• Pandemic Flu

• Preparing for Flu

• H1N1

• Power Outages

• Floods

• Earthquakes

• Kids Guide to Pandemic Flu

• Work Emergency

• Heat Waves

As part of the Get Ready Campaign, IPHA urges each and every member to be prepared to respond to severe weather or any disaster that may occur in their area—including tornadoes, earthquakes, extreme cold, flooding, pandemic influenza, or even terrorism. Methods to protect yourself and family include making an emergency preparedness supply kit, a family emergency plan, and just being informed about the different threats that may affect them.

We encourage members to use these free materials to prepare themselves and their communities for all public health hazards they may face, including disasters, pandemic flu or other emerging infectious disease.
