Presenter: Mike Bushman, MBA
Overview: Most workplace settings, including many in the medical and behavioral health fields, contribute to employees’ levels of stress, which can affect mental health conditions. By learning how to Run Ideal Stress Environments (RISE) and Adjust for Individual Minds (AIM), organizations can Strengthen Operations And Results (SOAR). In addition to operationalizing these concepts with participants for their own and/or client needs, the presenter will highlight the importance of self-care, safety planning, and having difficult conversations about suicide risk as effective strategies to help individuals navigate stressful life circumstance and find needed support and resources.
Learning Objectives:
- Define stress in the workplace and its effect on mental health condition
- Discuss workplace modifications that enhance performance
- Identify the warning signs of suicide and how to talk to someone at risk
- Learn effective safety planning interventions and self-care practices
Continuing Education Credits:
2.0 CEU’s are available for LCSW, LCPC, LSW, LPC and QIDP.
All other professionals are encouraged to check with their respective licensing boards for questions about whether this workshop meets criteria for continuing education credits.
Following the event, attendees will receive an email with a link to the online evaluation to complete. Once the evaluation response window closes, CEU certificates will be emailed. This process takes approximately 14 days following the event.
This training is provided by the Community Mental Health Board of Oak Park Township and Riveredge Hospital.
