Rise ‘N’ Learn Webinar - From Stress to Resilience: Mindfulness-based Self-Care for Professionals

Presenter: Kristen Esposito Brendel, PhD, LCSW, PEL, C-IAYT, CYT, Associate Professor of Social Work at Aurora University
Overview: This two-hour presentation will examine the implications of current research and effective practices for sustainable self-care, increasing resilience, and managing stress. Developed with professionals in mental health and healthcare in mind, mindfulness-based interventions will be discussed as it applies to the demands of our occupations, amid the pandemic. Opportunities for practice will be incorporated throughout the presentation.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand importance of evidence-based stress reduction techniques
- Gain knowledge of current research involving stress and resilience
- Understand the psycho-physiological implications of stress management
- Demonstrate applications of mindfulness-based skills for self-care
Continuing Education Credits:
2.0 CEU’s are available for LCSW, LCPC, LSW, LPC, and QIDP
All other professionals are encouraged to check with their respective licensing boards for questions about whether this workshop meets criteria for continuing education credits.
Following the event, attendees will receive an email with a link to the online evaluation to complete. All attendees MUST complete the online evaluation in order to receive a CEU certificate, no exceptions. Once the evaluation response window closes, CEU certificates will be emailed. This process takes approximately 3 weeks following the event. Evaluations open within 2 days post-event and remain open for 10 days.
