Mental Health and Trauma Awareness Month

May is Mental Health and Trauma Awareness Month. There is a growing movement in Illinois towards becoming a trauma-informed healing-centered state, and to raise awareness around the importance of mental health and the effects of trauma on our communities. Trauma-informed awareness and mental health are crucial, now more than ever, as COVID-19 has impacted and continues to impact our lives. Numerous partners are joining together throughout Illinois this year to raise awareness around mental health and trauma.
