The IPHA 78th Annual Meeting, with the theme Healthy by Design, will feature 6 Concurrent Sessions, 6 Skills Building Sessions, 3 Plenary Sessions, the annual IPHA Business Meeting, IPHA Section Meetings, the annual Friends of Public Health Dinner, a premiere exhibit hall, and poster presentations.

IPHA Member Early Bird Rate (thru July 31)  =   $150

Non-Member Early Bird Rate (thru July 31) (includes IPHA membership for remainder of 2019) =   $200

Cancellation Policy:  Registration refunds will be issued, minus a $25 processing fee, if request for cancellation is received no later than September 1, 2019. No refunds will be issued after September 1, 2019.

Submit a Poster Abstract

Public health professionals and students are invited to submit poster abstracts about research, innovative approaches, and other timely topics, especially those supporting and complimenting the IPHA 78th Annual Conference theme, “Healthy by Design.” Do not miss this annual opportunity to share your work and/or research with your colleagues.

The poster session will be held on Thursday, September 12. Poster set up is scheduled for 7:00 – 8:00 am on Thursday, September 12.  Presenters are expected to be at their poster during the designated times (8:00 – 9:00 am; 10:00 – 10:15 am; and 11:45 am– 12:00 pm) to interact with and answer questions from conference attendees. The poster session is intended to be casual and conversational; there will be no formal presentation. At least one presenter is required to be onsite for the entire poster session.

  • Health Equity and/or Social Determinants of Health
  • Policy, Systems and Environmental Change Efforts
  • Innovation in Physical Activity, Nutrition, Environmental Health, Chronic Disease, HIV/STDs, Behavioral Health, Emergency Preparedness, Communicable Disease, Workplace Wellness, etc.
  • Partnerships, Collaboration and Community Engagement
  • Health Equity / Social Determinants of Health
  • Communications and Health Advocacy
  • Leadership and Skills Development
  • National/State/Local Priorities
  • Research, Data, Needs Assessment, and Quality Improvement

Important Deadlines and Information:

  • ALL poster presentation abstracts MUST be submitted online at by Friday June 28, 2019 at 5:00pm!
  • Applicants will be notified regarding their acceptance by August 2, 2019.
  • Poster presenters are responsible for transporting, hanging, and dismantling their own poster. Posters will not be accepted via mail.
  • Presenters are responsible for creating an informational poster no larger than 36” x 48”. Presenters will be sharing space, so adherence to poster dimensions is required.

IPHA Scholarship for Graduate Study in Public Health:

Two scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each
