AmeriCorps Host Site Applications Being Accepted

The IPHA AmeriCorps Program is currently seeking host site locations for the 2016 half-time term of service.

The IPHA AmeriCorps Program provides trained, dedicated individuals to help meet locally identified needs in local health agencies across the state. The purpose of the AmeriCorps program is for the members to gain valuable public health work experience, while the host sites and the communities they serve benefit from the services the AmeriCorps members provide.

At this time, we are seeking agencies to act as host sites for members who will serve 900 hours over the course of a 7 month period.  The service term will begin in January 2016 and will conclude in August 2016.

IPHA AmeriCorps Members will receive many benefits including a living allowance, education award, and professional development opportunities.

The host site agency’s investment for hosting an AmeriCorps Member is $6,000 in cash funding and $1,865 in in-kind contributions.

Recruitment and selection of members will be a joint effort between the host site and IPHA.

Any agency interested in hosting an IPHA AmeriCorps Member for the 2016 half-time term should complete and return the application by 5:00 pm, Monday, November 16, 2015

For more information on the IPHA AmeriCorps Program, please contact the IPHA office at (217) 522-5687 or email Jennifer Hopper, AmeriCorps Program Director, at jhopper@ipha.com
