Registration is now open for the next upcoming FREE one-day Facilitator Training opportunity for Engaging Youth for Positive Change (EYPC), a service-learning program that empowers young people ages 13-18 to work with local governing bodies to adopt policies that create healthier communities.
EYPC is an opportunity to introduce youth to local civic engagement through the experience of local ordinance adoption as a “teachable moment” for youth civics. It is ideal for a short-term (semester or school year length) extracurricular activity or for established youth groups working in communities.
EYPC can also help schools to meet the civics education requirement for Illinois high school students (see www.illinoiscivics.org for more information on this requirement).
