
Improving Linkage and Retention in HIV Care: Lessons from Implementing a CHW Program in HIV Care

Webinar review of the roles and skills that community health workers (CHWs) need to be effective in their work. Role clarification is essential as CHWs are playing a greater role in health care setting, which has raised questions among staff about their roles and how they differ from others on HIV care teams.
This session is the latest in the Webinar Series: Using CHWs to Improve Linkage and Retention in Care.
Presenters from Boston University, the McGregor Clinic, an AIDS service organization in Fort Myers, FL, and CrescentCare, a dually funded HRSA Health Center in New Orleans, LA, will discuss the role of a CHW on the HIV care team and share lessons learned from a recent three-year initiative. Topics covered will include:
