On March 26, 2020, the Illinois Public Health Association sent a letter to Governor Pritzker asking that a portion of the federal funds coming to Illinois for the COVID-19 response be directed toward local health departments for much needed financial relief to support staff costs, supplies and other expenses incurred during this time.
