March of Dimes Grant Opportunities

March of Dimes Illinois has released community grant opportunities for 2017.  The March of Dimes is a national voluntary health organization whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. As part of the March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign, the Illinois Grants program is designed to invest in priority projects that further the March of Dimes mission, support national prematurity campaign efforts to help families have healthier babies, and further our strategic goal of reducing disparities in birth outcomes.

Below, you will find a W-9 form and our 2017 Community Grant Request for Proposal for the following priority areas:

  1. Smoking reduction and/or cessation: Programs that aim to reduce tobacco use among pregnant women and/or women of reproductive age
  2. Group prenatal care: Group prenatal care reduces rates of preterm birth by combining prenatal care with group education and support services.
