Our names are Christina Linares, Jon Murphy, Tori Odhiambo, and Simone Schubert, and we are pursuing our Master of Public Health degree at University of Illinois Springfield. We are interested in developing a better understanding of community health workers’ and peer counselors’ knowledge of and perceptions toward Monkeypox across the state of Illinois.
We have developed this pilot study with the supervision of Dr. Kathy DeBarr in which we hope to enhance next steps for future MPV-related needs assessments, curriculum development, and evaluation.
Your participation is entirely voluntary and there are no negative consequences if you decide not to participate. We ask that you not identify yourself in any way on the survey, as we would like to keep all responses anonymous. All findings will be reported in aggregate only. Completion of the survey signifies your consent to participate in the study. If you do complete the survey, please submit it by November 22nd. If you do not wish to complete the survey, please disregard this notice. At any point you can close the browser to exit this survey if you wish to withdraw. We don’t anticipate any risks from participation in this project and the anticipated inconvenience is minimal. Completion of the survey will take approximately 15 minutes. We hope to provide results from this survey to individuals that disseminated this survey through Illinois Public Health Association.
