The Illinois Public Health Association today sent a letter to Governor Rauner and the legislative leaders urging him to include funds for the replacement of the Chicago laboratory in any capital projects bill passed this year.

Poster Session Abstracts accepted online through April 15th

The Illinois Public Health Association has developed resources for local health departments in response to the Accountable Care Entity (ACE) RFP released by the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services on August 1, 2013. This round of ACE funding targets the “Family Health” population – Medicaid-eligible children and pregnant women and, at the option of the ACE, the Medicaid expansion population that gained eligibility on January 1, 2014. The ACEs may dramatically change the delivery of Maternal and Child Health services in Illinois.

IPHA held a technical assistance webinar for local health departments on November 26, 2013. The recording of each webinar session and the slides used by each of the presenters are available here.

On July 7, 2014, IPHA, the Northern Illinois Public Health Consortium and EverThrive Illinois arranged a meeting of Local Health Departments, School-Based Health Centers and Accountable Care Entities to provide ACEs with information about the breadth of services that health departments and school health centers provide, the depth of experience they bring , and the unique challenges they face in a managed care environment.
