Reading for Health: Libraries and Books as Strategic Public Health Partners and Tools
Although libraries have played a key role in public health activities such as COVID testing and vaccine distribution, much of the potential of library-public health partnerships remains untapped. In this session, Dr. Ayanna V. Bucker from Community Health Cooperative explores strategic partnerships between the entities to leverage existing financial resources, increase staff capacity for vital programs, and collaborate on external funding opportunities. Additional discussion explores how books can be used in health education and promotion activities.
