As CHWs, we want to ensure clients can make well-informed decisions based on the health information provided to them. This webinar will share data on health literacy and ways to identify limited health literacy among individuals. There will also be a discussion centered around universal health literacy precautions including simplifying communications and confirming understanding with everyone, making offices and the healthcare systems easier to navigate, and supporting people’s efforts to improve their health (AHRQ, 2024). Additional techniques and tools will be shared.
