Whole Body Approach to Health Program
Training Description
The Whole Body Approach to Health Program is a professional development program designed to equip health educators and promoters with the tools to foster healthier relationships with food, movement, and bodies among the communities they work with. The program facilitators are faculty and students from Beneditine University's MPH Program. You can earn five Continuing Education Contact Hours (CECH) for attending the virtual sessions and an additional three CECH for attending the in-person workshop.
Objectives:
- Strengthen your ability to support healthier relationships with food, movement, and body image in your community
- Participate in facilitated discussions with other Community Health Workers or Health Education Specialists
Dates and Times
- Four virtual sessions: Wednesdays, August 13 through September 3, 2025, 8:45 AM - 10:00 AM
- Fifth in-person session: Tuesday, September 9, 2025, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM during the IPHA 84th Annual Public Health Workforce Pre-Conference Workshop at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Bloomington-Normal, IL
You can attend the four virtual sessions and still earn five CECH without attending the pre-conference workshop. However, you must attend the virtual sessions to be able to attend the pre-conference workshop session.
