Reading for Health: Libraries and Books as Strategic Public Health Partners & Tools
Topic Description
Although libraries have played a key role in public health activities such as COVID testing and vaccine distribution, much of the potential of library-public health partnerships remains untapped. This session will explore strategic partnerships between the entities as a means to leverage existing financial resources, increase staff capacity for vital programs, and collaborate for external funding opportunities. The session will also explore how books can be used in health education and promotion activities.
