Presenter: Nanette Larson, CRSS, CPRS, Deputy Director, Wellness & Recovery Services at IDHS/Division of Mental Health
Overview: In this workshop, participants will differentiate between spirituality and recovery and identify the benefits of spirituality for wellness and recovery. Participants will learn five research-based indicators of internal spiritual well being: sense of purpose, forgiveness, gratitude, humility, and belief in a higher power. Particular focus will be given to forgiveness, with coaching on a 6-step process for releasing forgiveness.
- Identify the benefits of spirituality in recovery
- Differentiate between spirituality and religion
- Identify five indicators of internal spiritual wellbeing
- Learn ways to connect with our sense of meaning & purpose
- Learn six steps in the forgiveness process
Continuing Education Credits:
2.0 CEU’s are available for LCSW, LCPC, LSW, LPC, and QIDP
All other professionals are encouraged to check with their respective licensing boards for questions about whether this workshop meets criteria for continuing education credits.
Following the event, attendees will receive an email with a link to the online evaluation to complete. Evaluations open within 2 business days post-event and remain open for 10 days. All attendees MUST complete the online evaluation in order to receive a CEU certificate, no exceptions. Once the evaluation response window closes, CEU certificates will be emailed. This process takes approximately 3 weeks following the event.
