Description

Grandparents for Vaccines is a rapidly growing national nonprofit that uses storytelling as a public health strategy to address vaccine hesitancy and misinformation. Vaccines did more than prevent disease—they largely erased the collective memory of the suffering caused by illnesses such as polio, measles, and pertussis.

Through the voices of those who lived through these diseases, Grandparents for Vaccines preserves and shares stories that remind us what is at stake when vaccine confidence declines. This presentation will highlight the organization's work to reconnect generations to the realities of vaccine-preventable diseases and explore opportunities to become involved in the movement.
