Empowering CHWs: How CHWs Can Conduct Registration, Intakes, & Health Screenings for the Refugee, Immigrant & Migrant (RIM) Communities
Description
CHWs are a part of the care team and can be empowered to be the front line and community expert throughout care. They can conduct intakes, resource and health screenings, and serve as a liaison between providers and the client/patient. CHW liaisons for the RIM population can help take the burden off of clinical staff by bridging the cultural gap. Two CHWs will model what this looks like and will provide practical tips to CHWs and those looking to implement this into practice.
