Lactation Support for Health Workers
Training Description
This course, brought to you by the IPHA Community Health Team and provided through Lactation Education Consultants, is designed to prepare health care workers in any setting to provide basic lactation care for both the parent and the baby. You will have an opportunity to learn basic lactation terms, how milk is made, how to maintain supply, and how to get started with latch and positioning. Other topics include breastfeeding history, how and when to refer, understanding breast pumps, support for the supplementing parent, and much more!

NOTE: Participants must attend both days to earn a certificate of completion!
