AI Readiness for Public Health
Topic Description
In this presentation, we will be exploring the need to conduct an AI Readiness Assessment among Local Health Departments in Illinois. We will delve into the potential of AI to revolutionize public health, address the challenges of adopting such technologies, and discuss the importance of establishing ethical guidelines to prevent the exacerbation of health disparities. This assessment aims to evaluate AI integration within local health departments, pinpoint technical infrastructure needs, and gauge workforce readiness to embrace AI technologies.
This presentation is a call to action for health department leaders, IT professionals, community health workers, and policymakers to engage in a concerted effort to align public health services with the advancements in AI technology. Together, we can initiate a new era of efficient, precise public health service delivery, marked by a steadfast commitment to the well-being of the citizens of Illinois.
