APHA's Center for Climate, Health and Equity will select up to five college or university students or student groups to create a Campus Experience during National Public Health Week (April 6-12, 2020).

The American Lung Association is conducting a webinar on a wide range of respiratory health threats: increased air pollution; longer, more intense pollen seasons; extreme weather; and the challenges of evacuation and relocation.

The vision is to address climate change in ways that improve public health and health equity, creating the healthiest nation in one generation.

The new report called “Safe haven in the storm: Protecting lives and margins with climate-smart health care,” it demonstrates that the benefits of preparedness far outweigh the costs.

Due to the increase in pests and disease resulting from climate change, reducing risk to agriculture and ensuring a safe and abundant food system are imperative.

A report prepared for the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) by The Building Resilience Against Climate Effects in Illinois (BRACE-Illinois) project of the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health, Division of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences with funding from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

On September 14, 2016, IPHA members in attendance at the Annual Business Meeting approved and adopted the following resolution entitled "IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON HEALTH 2016," stating that climate change is a public health problem that requires planning, policies, and actions to reduce harmful health and ecological impacts.
